A Message To My Fellow Tool Fans
It's been a great experience communicating with people who enjoy my work. I feel greatly privileged each time I have the opportunity to share a few messages with a stranger who felt the need to get in touch with me. Some of the best of these strangers have been Tool fans.
Until I created a magazine cover for the band, I hadn't been in contact with other Tool fans other than my friends. I've been a devoted fan of Tool for over a decade, but I didn't have a grasp of how special their fanbase really is until the past year or two. I've never met another group of fans who were so open minded, intelligent, friendly and passionate.

It excites me to see how Tool has positively affected others like myself. They have given us the tools to view our existence in a different perspective. The opportunity to view things through a new light and the challenge to elevate our state of mind and explore the unknown.
Tool introduced me to the concept of the third eye - one of the most pivotal concepts I've ever learned. I've been prying it open as much as possible ever since. They've been the energy moving my creative spirit over and over again. They invoke visions and ideas like few others have ever done for me.
My favorite Tool songs often cause synasthaesia. The movement and soundscapes invoke inner visions that are hard to describe, and even harder to recreate. I've often dwelled on the idea of making an image for each song on a Tool album, creating a visual album that tries to depict my feelings and the lyrical message for each song. Hopefully someday I will have the ambition to go through with such a project, as I would love to see how closely they relate to the ideas other fans have swirling in their minds.
Thanks to all of you for your support and ongoing communication. All of you have helped drive my ambition and inspiration to follow my will and wind. Spiral Out!

hey man !
very awesome to read your appreciation. I as well do find many friends and very thoughtful discussions through being tool fans as well.
just came upon your site whilst searching for tool posters (and saw a print of yours, as well as being from wisconsin) which brought me to your site.
just wondering, as a fellow wisconsinite what got you into graphic design and what and how you got yourself into the field.
I am as well a fellow artist, and struggling at that. just wondering what college courses or future classes you've taken or schools you 'd suggest for furthering in ?
my email is :

(x's replaced obviously)
thanks a ton man, and i look forward to your response.

Tool is single handedly responsible for the person that I am today, how I percieve things, and how my mind functions, I could not see myself functioning without, and wonder how I did before, they are the drug that I need to survive.
I've thought about the exact same things regarding Tool. Glad to meet other people who have taken in the lyrics in the same perspective. I'd say your and mine views on our existence and third eye are exact. Keep up the good work - and yes, you must do a picture for each song. When I first discovered the band it was pretty much all I listened to for a year - their entire discography.
Tool has been and continues to be an essential part my life. No words can describe the feeling I get whenever I listen to Lateralus or Third Eye. For anyone who hasn't seen them live I strongly suggest it. Seeing them work their magic in person is a memory you'll hold onto for the rest of your life.
I agree with all that is said in this news, Tool is more than simple music. Third eye concept is a real power in art visions, and you make it very nice. Tool rules!!!!
I admit, I was one of those Tool fans that made his way to this site and then decided to email Peter. He is great and will take the time to email you back. His art is really vivid and colorful. I bought two prints from him directly and just bought a third through another source. If you like something you see in the store, I promise you will be amazed when you get it. Most of his prints are on such a grand scale, they will blow you away when you get them in front of you.
I'll tell you what man, you are indeed inspiring. As well as "Tool". Being able to appreciate such intense, passionate, lit, dark, and unknown is a blessing. You do awesome work. Keep it up.
Thanx

Thank you for the comment on my entry, I'm sorry about the mix up, and I'd like to let you know that your magazine cover is fantastic. I'm about to go over and credit you for the amazing work you've done.
Love your work. The way of the peaceful warrior by Dan Millman just about gouged my third eye open...try it. Itll let it open on its own rather then prying it.
